Meet the Blue Ridge High School “Boys of Fall.” These six men have been close friends since seventh grade and they are now playing in their senior season of football together. They work hard through out the afternoons of practice to rise to the challenge each Friday Night. Of course behind every good football player is a dedicated mother in the stands, on the edge of her seat, cheering him on through every play. Rain or shine, good refs or bad, these ladies have supported their sons no matter what!
Ann Morton, a dear friend of my family and mother of Carson Morton(#8), contacted me about documenting their last season together before everyone graduates.
The guys with Blue Ridge in the background
It’s I got your number, I got your back when your back’s against the wall
Check out those game faces
The Cliffs of Glassy chapel made for a warm getaway from the harsh wind.
These are the lovely mothers!
These are the lovely mothers!
The whole crew!
The chorus of Kenny Chesney’s “Boys of Fall”
Well it’s turn and face the Stars and Stripes
It’s fighting back them butterflies
It’s call it in the air, alright yes sir we want the ball
And it’s knocking heads and talking trash
It’s slinging mud and dirt and grass
It’s I got your number, I got your back when your back’s against the wall
You mess with one man you got us all
The boys of fall
