Charleston has many picturesque plantations. I got to spend an afternoon at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. It is America’s oldest romantic garden and was established in 1676. Around every turn there was something impressive, a flower I had never seen before, quaint bridges, romantic sculptures, and moss covered oaks. This can make for a great day trip with additional tours or you can fit it into an afternoon.
