When I arrived at The Grove at Pennington for Megan’s getting ready photos, I was greeted by ecstatic, giddy flower girls and junior bridesmaids!  Everyone was so excited to be a part of Andrew and Megan’s big day!  I was too!!  Megan’s gold shoes and jewelry were my favorite!  Her lace dress was a perfect fit for her style and their outdoor wedding.  I had the pleasure of seeing my talented sister Libby in action as she twisted, braided, curled, and pinned each girls’ hair in place.  Isn’t Megan’s bridal up-do amazing!?

Their wedding inspiration was based on the blush pink and gray colors.  Megan also incorporated yellow into their flowers and decor that tied into the signature yellow houses of The Grove.  Their vision came out picture perfect!  Their ceremony was held in the lawn beside the main house.  The deep blue hydrangeas that surrounded the ceremony site were in full bloom.  Sure, the colors and blooms were beautiful, but what is most beautiful is that Andrew and Megan have such a solid foundation in Christ and are supported by their loving families.  I couldn’t have asked for a better group to spend the day with!  It is such a privilege to serve amazing families like these!

Without a doubt 6.4.16 had been prayed over!  If it had to rain, the timing was perfect.  Right after the ceremony, we grabbed as many husband and wife photos as we could before the torrential downpour!  I am so thankful that the Lord gave us sound mind when it came to making decisions during the chaotic thunderstorm.  We remained calm and decided to hold off on family, wedding party, and bride and groom photos to get Megan and Andrew to their reception as quickly as possible.  This allowed guests to celebrate with Andrew and Megan earlier and for the storm to pass.  Once everything cleared up we were able to create the rest of their portraits.  I’m so thankful they trusted me with our split decision!  I love how their images turned out!!
