I’m so excited to share this patriotic wedding at Song Hill Reserve on May 6! Annie and Alex got engaged last Spring and were married in June before Alex was deployed overseas. Any military family, knows the sacrifice serving your country comes with- even down to holding off your wedding celebration. I am beyond thankful for our marines, other military members, and their families who give up so much to protect our country each day.
While the weather took us on a bit of a roller coaster, the minute Annie’s brother strummed Jack Johnson’s “Angel” on his mandolin to start the ceremony, all worries melted away. They were heading down the aisle, rain or shine! My favorite moment from the whole wedding day was after Annie and Alex affirmed their vows for each other. Alex was to repeat vows to Kai, Annie’s son. Everyone got choked up when Alex tried to collect his emotions as he told little Kai he would love him and lead him as a father. Kai may not understand now, but his parents will have a very tender image to show him later in life.
Annie and Alex’s whole day was a beautiful testament of their family’s love for each other. Each family member, friend, and vendor showed up ready to make their wedding hopes happen! Whether it was prepping flower girls, setting up a rain plan, or playing an instrument, it all came together for an unforgettable and meaningful celebration!
Has there ever been a cuter ring bearer?? Kai’s outfit was a surprise to Alex!
And if your sparklers are still going…. grab your love and run through again!!
