Congratulations to Chandler and Davis! They were married at Edwards Road Baptist Church and we celebrated at Southern Bleachery at Taylors Mill!! I love these two, it was so much fun to photograph and laugh with them all day! The prayers prayed over their special day and marriage were evident at every turn!
I want to point out a few special details. Davis’s father passed away suddenly the day after their engagement session in November. In the midst of normal life and wedding planning, their families have navigated something bigger – sudden loss and ongoing grief. Chandler had a Tiger Rag (big Clemson fans) monogrammed with Davis’s dad’s initials and gifted it to Davis before their ceremony. There was also a space left open on stage in memory of his dad, his Best Man. I personally understand this type of loss and weight you feel even on the most special days of your life.
My favorite part was their first look. It was so exciting for them to be together, to talk, laugh, and hold each other. Then they got to relax and hang out with their friends and family (and be photographed) before heading over to the church. My second favorite part was walking back into Southern Bleachery to photograph reception details and seeing all flowers in place, the edison lights on, and cupcakes on display- it was perfect! Southern Bleachery is a truly unique venue!
It started raining after all guests were in the ceremony and was done by the time we reached the reception!
While guests were eating, we snuck away for a few more romantic portraits around Taylors Mill!
For those wondering if reception uplighting is something you should do…..these photos say YES!
Y’all, I love this slideshow, check the build right at the First Look! Whoa.
