A traditional muave and navy wedding
June 30, 2018 was a day to remember! Taylor Schaffer and Vince Dacus, high school sweethearts, became husband and wife!! I have enjoyed getting to know them and their families since we joined Fairview Baptist. Their family ties are strong since the two have dated so long. They share sisters, ministry, vacations, and sometimes even a church pew!
I have many favorite memories of their wedding day. From the bridesmaids’ first look with Taylor to the humor and sentiment shared by their dear pastors and friends during the ceremony. The most emotional moment was when Taylor and her mother, Jodi, made their way down the aisle to Vince. Taylor’s dad passed, Mike, away suddenly just days before she started her freshman year of college. Jodi carried a candle down the aisle to light a memorial with her daughters for Mike before the ceremony continued. Having lost my dad at a similar time frame in life, I know the weight those iconic moments carry. Mike would be proud of the Schaffer ladies!
One of the many amazing things about Southern Bleachery is it can accommodate a large amount of people and still have plenty of room for a full dance floor. This is exactly what Taylor and Vince needed because their guests were ready to celebrate!! The dancing kicked off with a surprise choreographed dance with Taylor, her Mom, and finale with sister Megan followed up by Vince and his mother’s fun dance! Without a doubt, each second of their wedding day was authentically Taylor and Vince! I can’t wait to design their Heirloom Album so they can relive these moments for generations to come!
As a Clemson fan from birth, I’m still learning many USC fan traditions. Spurs up.
Vince gifted his guys socks with their favorite athlete on them!
The memorial for Taylor’s father and also her grandfather.
This was the coolest idea! Cinnamon roll station!!
