When we arrived to Kelsey’s hotel room Saturday afternoon, their was a sense of calm hanging in the room. The ladies were almost done with their hair and makeup and they were lounging around and chatting. After hugging Kelsey and catching up I began styling her details. I had so much fun with her details, nothing makes my graphic design heart more happy than a beautiful, classic invitation suite like this!
After the final touches, we met Stefan outside the hotel for their First Look. Matron of Honor, Emily, helped us carry flowers and Kelsey’s dress. Clay, their best man, was super attentive as well! Kelsey and Stefan were so excited to see each other! They both got a bit emotional in their first moments together! After their portraits, we were able to photograph them with their wedding party and family! All before the ceremony!
Their ceremony was sentimental and simple. Guests entered cocktail hour as we snuck away for a few just married portraits (some of my favorites)! Their reception was amazing with Steel Toe Stiletto entertaining, delicious food stations, and an ice cream station!
Kelsey and Stefan missed their sweet pup, Maggie, all day. You can go see the puppy version of her in their Engagement Session. She has grown so much since then!
Ready for their First Look!!
I know you don’t need any more convincing on the First Look, but Kelsey and Stefan had time before their ceremony to see their ceremony and reception design! A great idea from their coordinator, Jennifer! They were able to walk in together and experience their set up how they always envisioned it! Without this chance, they wouldn’t have seen the design until after their first dances. They took in every detail and enjoyed a few moments of relaxing on the velvet sofa. I believe Statice Event Design would be pleased with these reactions – their design work was beyond amazing!! Scroll further for more reception design images!
Did they already have enough portraits? Yes, of course. We took 10-15 short minutes after their ceremony for just married portraits! It was so refreshing to walking outside into the crisp spring evening and enjoy the romantic light. I would not trade this set of images for anything!! After portraits Kelsey and Stefan ate a private dinner together then arrived to their reception ready to welcome guests and celebrate the night away!
Here’s more of their reception design!
Your seat awaits! Did you notice the mixture of square and circle tables?
I love how Huguenot Loft feels at twilight.
Kelsey and Stefan wanted an ice cream experience instead of the traditional cake! Ice cream for the win!!
