Windy Hill Barn Wedding | Haley + Cameron

It is a beautiful thing to see two amazing people matched on Bumble now #beecomingthestobers!  I absolutely love their story because it shows that God is the God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.  If He wants two people to meet He can use technology or whatever means to make it happen!!

If you were anywhere in the Southeast over the weekend, then you know it rained Saturday.  Hurricane Delta relentlessly poured for days.  I don’t want to dwell on the weather too much, but it’s worth it to tell share some cool points.  I know I was not the only one that was experiencing frustration and disappointment with the forecast.  Hurricane rain is not what you dream of when you plan your wedding or dream up your portraits.  OH but wedding days are filled with wonderful stories and we have many to tell!!  It rained, but not bad.  It rained during some portraits, but not during the time they wanted to read love letters to each other on a vintage couch. It drizzled while we were under their ceremony tent.  It let up during their husband and wife portraits and wedding party group portraits.  It poured the whole time they were INSIDE dancing. When 10pm started knocking way too soon the vendors agreed to giving them more time to dance…those extra minutes were the difference in their sparkler exit being one they dreamed of and not one modified by a downpour.

Rain or shine Haley and Cameron would have been happy with anything because 10.10.2020 meant more to them than a wedding – it meant becoming husband and wife!  They are truly deeply in love.  Scroll down and see how they looked at each other during their ceremony.  That is one thing I never want them to forget.  I know without a doubt, with God as their focus, they will lead a long and happy life together.  In their life, just like on their wedding weekend, they will be supported by their amazing, kind, and fun parents, friends and family.

See, a wedding day is full of stories.  All the stories they’ll hear from friends and family as they recount different perspectives and experiences.  In no time at all we’ll be crafting their wedding album to wrap all those stories, emotions, and moments all into a tangible Heirloom.

When we arrived to Haley’s house each lady was sharing a toast to Haley, it was the sweetest thing I’ve seen!

Thank you, Kate Asire for being so generous with these blooms for their styled details.

First Look with Dad!

Then her girls!

The rain stopped!!

They read love letters to each other and shared a prayer WITHOUT Cameron seeing Haley!

I even snuck in this portrait of them.

If I can recommend a clear tent a million times over, I will!!  This allowed all the natural light into their ceremony!  This is also a great time to note why it is so helpful to have a coordinator (looking at you Christina) to call every rental place in SC, NC, and GA to find the right tents for your ceremony and cocktail hour.

Christina (coordinator) and I had at least three versions of what to do if it rained during portraits.  I’m so thankful rain held off and we didn’t have to go to plan B or C!

A surprise dance for Haley’s sweet Mother!
