The second I read Lauren’s first email to me, I knew I would love getting to know her and Justin. She spent more time telling me about Justin, how they met, their proposal, and special people they’ll have involved on their wedding day, rather than their actual wedding plans. This showed me her focus, was on marriage and celebrating with the people they love! We first connected over Justin proposing on a ferry between St. Thomas and St. John! This was the same ferry Jeff and I almost lost our moped on during our honeymoon- different story for a different day!
Lauren and Justin were awesome during their whole engagement session downtown! We met at Coffee Underground were they enjoy hanging out and Justin performs with No Expectation Comedy (Yes, I already told him he can’t use any of our time together in his shows). They actually met downtown when they were both employed at Sticky Fingers and Justin persistently asked her out. He persevered and they have been dating 7 years now!!
Their outfits for the session were perfectly styled, but what makes these two look radiant is their love for each other, their free laughter, and the way they melt into each others arms. I can’t help but day dream about their wedding images already! They’ll be married at Southern Bleachery at Taylors Mill this September!!
I love sentimental heirlooms and Lauren knows it! She wore this handmade bracelet crafted by her granddaddy Perry for her Mimi while he was fighting in World War II. The metal is different coins in the shape of hearts. Her sister wore it on her wedding day and I believe it will make another special appearance in September.
Definitely watch their slideshow!
