A Buncombe Street United Methodist Church Ceremony and Larkins L reception
May 11th has been anxiously awaited for many months now! While it flew by in a matter of hours, no second was rushed through or overlooked. Chris and Caroline were intentional and fully present in each moment. Caroline truly felt all of the emotions on her wedding day. From reading her letter from Chris to walking down the aisle to him. Chris was so attentive to his mother during their pictures and was kind and grateful to me expressing his gratitude at least three separate times throughout the day. Then when Caroline and Chris were together, they locked eyes, took a deep breath and truly soaked in their first moments as husband and wife. They laughed, they cried, they kissed, they embraced. Their love for each other was so beautiful to be able to witness and capture.
I guess I’m getting ahead of myself! Through the days leading up to their wedding we watched the forecast unfold. Rain. Lots of it. Rain on a wedding day doesn’t get me nervous until I see 90% for all hours of coverage. We dream of these images for months and the thought of weather impacting them is sad. We packed the umbrellas, but to our surprise, the radar cleared and the rain came only in small spurts. We actually had SUNLIGHT! Glorious sunlight!! Their ceremony was at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church which is home to the longest center aisle in South Carolina. We celebrated the rest of their day at Larkins L venue.
Caroline and Chris have a love for rich, classic, historic details. This was represented in their Charleston Engagement session showing off the town they fell in love in and then in the style of their wedding day. I recommend scrolling slowly to let every beautiful detail and heartfelt emotion really sink in.
There was so much anticipation for Caroline’s entrance. Chris was moved as her and her father made it down the longest aisle in South Carolina.
These next three images were taken right as Caroline and Chris walked out of their ceremony! Pure just married BLISS!!!
We gathered inside to photograph their families and then back outside for more portraits! Not a drop of rain!!!
Their reception style was so classic with Larkins L’s exposed brick, and lush white hydrangeas in beautiful blue and white china vases.
Citadel crew!!
Before a storm rolled in, we grab a few more portraits outside Larkins L!
Uptown Entertainment is at it again! Caroline and Chris’s guests had such an awesome time celebrating!
