Meet Maddy and Lee!!  They met while attending UNC School of Law.  Yes, “Law School Sweethearts” is a thing!  I’ve known Maddy since photographing her sister’s wedding back in 2014!  Since then, I’ve had the honor of serving more families connected to hers and now we’re coming full circle!

Walking around campus with Maddy and Lee was a lot of fun!  Maddy was Student Body President just a few years ago.  It was like having our very own personal tour guide!  We started at Sikes Hall!  This is Maddy’s favorite building on campus…it’s also my favorite to photograph couples around!!  Don’t you love these steps!?!

We finished our afternoon session on the dike!  It was my first time being out there!  This was where Lee proposed to Maddy!  Here’s the story, Maddy and Lee were back in town for the Clemson vs Duke game.  They were taking their dogs for a walk by the lake when Lee got down on one knee!  Maddy was so confused, she thought he was messing with her Clemson class ring.  Indeed, he was sliding on his grandmother’s heirloom ring and taking her from girlfriend to fiance!!  I can’t wait for them to seal the deal next Spring in Charlotte, NC!!

This photo is a remake of one Maddy’s parents have from one of their many visits to campus over the years.  Her parents met in Sirrine Hall while they were students at Clemson.  They had a thriving marriage, three beautiful girls (all Clemson grads or currently a student there).  Maddy’s mother passed away almost two months ago.  This picture was to honor her Mom and Dad.  Her mother, Denise, had her hands in a lot of the wedding planning.  I enjoyed connecting with her during phone calls and emails over the last few months.  She is loved and missed by so many.

Before our time together was over we went to the dikes to capture where Lee proposed to Maddy!!

It looks like the house is divided for these two!
