Congratulations to Kari and Alex!!!  When I arrived at Kari’s parent’s home on Saturday everyone was calmly getting ready and enjoying each other’s company.  Kari and Alex had friends and family fly in from California, Chicago, Oklahoma, and many other places!  I think it is awesome that Greenville is becoming a destination for weddings!  Our little city has so much to offer and can be a fun-filled weekend getaway for guests.  They had a weekend full of gatherings and celebrations around their actually wedding.

Kari and Alex chose to do a First Look for their wedding day.  It was such a precious time to capture!  After they hugged and talked, I could tell a lot of the nerves had gone away.  Kari and Alex are very sweet together.  They just seem to fit in an authentic, made-for-each-other kind of way.

Their Twigs Tempietto reception was so fun!  A lot of their guests hadn’t seen each other in a while or were meeting for the first time.  It was really sweet to see Kari and Alex surrounded by all their friends and family.  Everyone was connected by their love and support for the newlyweds.

Kari and Alex both play string instruments so the air was filled with the sounds of string instruments leading up to the ceremony.

A very sweet poem read by Alex’s sister during their ceremony had us all in tears.

We squeezed out a few more portraits before their reception began and the sun set.  I’m a big fan of wide open spaces for portraits.  It allows the subject to be the focus and everything else fades into the background.

Their custom wedding guest book was so fun to create!  Guests enjoyed flipping through and looking at the Engagement Images and writing their wedding day wishes.  This is a perfect way to showcase your images and also get them in print!  I’ll share more about their guest book in another post soon!
