Six months after Eric worked in the Emergency Room he met a new nurse, Katherine. She says that she knew something was different about Eric the moment they met. They worked together for two-and-a-half years before they started dating. Life has been crazy for these two lately, so there’s a lot of working, catching up on sleep, and wedding planning in between. What makes me excited is while life may not always be this calm or glamorous, they have portraits that truly depict how they feel when they are together. Now these images will speak that love to them as the carry on with each day.
For their proposal, Eric planned a getaway to The Grove Park Inn. They enjoyed their afternoon walking around the Inn and visiting the shops. They were getting ready to head to dinner when Eric said he needed to go back to the room for his koozie. Katherine distinctly remembers telling him that koozies were not classy, but she went back in the room anyway. As she held out her hand so she could put the koozie in her purse he says “I have one for you too,” when she looked up from her purse Eric was down on one knee! He went on to tell her how much he loved her and how he was ready to take this next step in life with her. Katherine was full of emotion and kissed him before he could get all his words out!! That’s a yes! They soaked up the moment of excitement, then Katherine was ready to call their families. Eric said, “lets enjoy the moment and go to dinner. We’ll call them afterward.” As they were getting closer to the restaurant, Katherine started recognizing family members. Eric planned for their immediate families to gather for a celebration dinner. He says “I knew I couldn’t surprise her with the proposal, but I could surprise her with our families being there.”
Earlier in June, we met at Famoda farms for their engagement portraits. The mountain view here leaves me speechless! While we were there, I was able to meet the owners of the farm. They were so wonderful! We are all so pleased with their images from their session. Katherine Eric will soon have their Engagement Portrait book, canvas wrap wall art, and many prints from this beautiful evening together.
Their wedding will be this November at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Downtown Greenville, SC!
