Cherie and Drew are a super special couple! I was excited to be able to meet them in Rock Hill for their Engagement on Winthrop University’s campus!  Winthrop’s campus is nostalgic for them!  They first met in Dinkins Hall in 2018 while they were working.  Cherie and Drew decided to continue visiting when there was a lull in work days.  These visits turned into a fantastic connection where they learned they had much in common and a similar sense of humor.

We visited many important places to them around campus.  We went to Scholars Walk, Hardin Garden, Dinkins Hall, and ended their Winthrop University engagement session at Winthrop Lake!

While it rained through the first part of their portraits, we are hoping for a beautiful spring day for their Greenville, SC wedding day!  Cherie and Drew will be getting married next April at The Venue At Rose Springs Farm in Travelers Rest, SC!!

The one

I like to ask my couples when they KNEW the other was “the one”.

Drew said, “The day we decided to make our relationship official.”

Cherie said, “I don’t know if there was ever a defining moment where I said “I will marry him” but I do know that I fell more in love with him every single day. I knew that Drew was different from before we were even dating by how he treated me and others around him. I know that he would always make sure I was okay. When my dreams about my future stopped being a silhouette of my future husband and started being clearly him I knew that he was going to be the one.”

Winthrop Lake is where they had their first kiss!
