This was my first time visiting South Wind Ranch in Travelers Rest, SC!  It encompasses a luxury yet laid back feel.  There are also endless opportunities for photography for any weather or lighting situation.  It was such a pleasure meeting and working with the SWR staff.  The bride’s family and bridesmaids were getting ready in the luxury cabin on site when I arrived.  Everyone was thrilled about the big day finally arriving and family and friends from all over being together!

Daniel and Vi chose to do a First Look to really enjoy their wedding day together.  Daniel’s humor kept things light-hearted during portrait time.  In the midst of the laughter, there were also quiet moments where I would catch Daniel and Vi in blissful conversation or just staring into each other’s eyes.

For the ceremony, Daniel and Vi’s officiant also conducted Daniel’s parents’ wedding ceremony thirty plus years ago. Within the first two minutes of the officiant’s message all the parents were getting blurry eyed.  He talked about the work of caring for and loving children, the first birthday, the skinned knees, and many milestones to follow.  The officiant celebrated both families work to raise up Daniel and Vi and to support them as they encounter life together.

Their breakfast reception was held in the barn with dancing, a photo booth, and a cozy fire for guests to enjoy.

First Look or not, portraits in the romantic, golden light are a must!
